HANP Goals

GOAL 1 - Recruitment & Retention

Mission:

  •     To increase and retain membership.
  •     To have 500 active and student members in HANP.

Strategies:

  •     Develop active Recruitment and Retention Committee.
  •     Survey active and inactive membership and implement accordingly.
  •     Recognition and awards.
  •     Team: Board of Directors and Recruitment and Retention Committee

GOAL 2 - Community Relations

Mission:

  •     To increase the public awareness of the advanced practice nurses role

Strategies:

  •     Publicize National Nurse Practitioner week
  •     Participation in other community events (i.e., walk-a-thons)
  •     Update HANP logo for website and T-shirts

GOAL 3 - Education

Mission:

  •     To provide CME/CEU educational opportunities and dinner programs
  •     To serve as a resource for NP related issues

Strategies:

  •     Collaborative Conference with other local NP groups (TBD)
  •     NP Business Conference
  •     Annual Scholarships for the NP students
  •     Provide drawings at each meeting for scholarship fundraising
  •     Target Date: As stated above.
  •     Accountability: BoD and Scholarship Committee

GOAL 4 - Technology/Communication

Mission:

  •     Website
  •     To allow members to receive information on upcoming events such as meetings, local CE programs,   
        news and announcements
  •     To allow officers to update information, decreasing the time it takes to post updates through a
        webmaster
  •     Improve the current method of updating the membership directory

Strategies:

  •     Upgrade website technology
  •     Implement automated payment processing
  •     Implement automated membership membership
  •     Implement web teleconferencing
  •     Develop committees
